DIY – Build Yourself a Stool // SOLD OUT //

The “Berlin stool” which we’ll be building in this workshop is the smallest piece of furniture and loyal companion to every city nomad. It is a stool, chair, shelf, storage unit, lectern, children’s chair and side table – all in one. Several of them can be arranged in countless ways to create benches, sideboards or entire room dividers. The Berlin stool is made from a single board, 150 x 30 cm, available at any DIY store and can be put together in minutes with just one tool (a cordless drill).

Van Bo Le-Mentzel is an architect, author and filmmaker. His design-oriented, social participative projects include the Hartz IV Furniture and the Tinyhouse University. His current project is the “Living Machine”, the smallest two-room apartment in Germany.

Practical tip: Please bring your own cordless drill. Workshop language: German
